FWD: Australia says NO, again

We should be wary and in quickly believing these kind of emails without verifying the authenticity of such, especially in this world of the internet. Always take information from the web with a grain of salt, especially when there's no particular author or source. People can quickly spread rumours and before you know it, it becomes the truth. Hate mails are especially dangerous in this time. In this age of internet, where information spread quickly and there's no time to verify them. It's easy to click a button, forward everything to all of your friends, and your friends forward it to their friends.

A good example is this email. The original version of this email has been circulating on the web since 2005 and have since evolved over the years. That's how it is in the web. It morphs over the changing times. It's like a virus. Once you find a vaccine to kill it, it has already transformed or mutated to another thing.

Let's not quickly judge without the facts. Doing nothing is even worse. This is apathy.

I'll leave you with this phrase from Henri Frederic Amiel, a 19th century Swiss philosopher. Truth is not only violated by falsehood; it may be equally outraged by silence.

Be aware. Be informed.
